2016 is full of underdog stories, this might be the underdog to top all underdog. Donald John Trump has been elected as President of the United States in a huge victory against the massively-favoured Hillary Clinton, wife of former president Bill Clinton. Donald Trump was able to reclaim the rust belt for the Republican Party, the political pendulum has shifted back towards the right after 8 years of Barack Obama's presidency, this result was unpredictable from the start even if Republicans seemed confident, as for the losing side this may have to be the worst thing to happen in a rollercoaster of a year.
Donald Trump has been criticized on many things, his opponents tried to tear him down at every step of the way and called him names, this shows how badly the left and the elites wanted him to lose but yet he rose up to the occasion, the people have elected Donald Trump to be the leader of the country and the free world, from wanting to rebuild the World Trade Center to POTUS, what a ride.
